This week’s Pisces Full Moon Lunar Eclipse invites us to slow down and listen to what has been playing beneath the surface.
Some experiences arrive first as a feeling, sensation, memory, image, or shift in energy. We may not immediately understand them. We may try to organize, explain, or move past them before giving them our attention.
But the Human Instrument is always communicating.
A restless body may be asking for space.
A tired mind may be asking for rest.
A difficult emotion may be carrying important information.
A repeated thought may be pointing toward a choice.
The question is not, “How do I get rid of this?”
The better question may be:
What needs to be heard?
Listening is the first movement of Return To Witness®. Before we decide what something means or determine what to do, we create space to notice what is already happening within us. That pause allows the Human Instrument to communicate without requiring an immediate solution.
Return To Witness®
Return To Witness® gives us a way to create space before automatically reacting.
The practice moves through four simple steps:
Activation — Notice what is happening.
Awareness — Ask, “What is playing right now?”
Agency — Recognize that a response is possible.
Action — Choose your next note with intention.
You do not have to solve everything immediately. Awareness begins by listening without forcing an explanation.
The Human Instrument
The Human Instrument reminds us that many Voices may be active at the same time.
One part of you may want safety.
Another may want freedom.
Another may be grieving.
Another may be ready to speak.
Another may simply need to rest.
The Witness listens to the whole composition. It does not allow one Voice to define the entire song.
As you move through this week, consider asking:
- What is playing most loudly?
- What has become quiet?
- What needs to be expressed?
- What support might help?
- What is my next intentional note?
The next note does not have to resolve the entire song. It only needs to be chosen with awareness.
Join us Friday evening at Shakti for our Pisces Full Moon Lunar Eclipse Tune-Up—an opportunity to tune out external noise, tune in to what you notice, and create space for what is ready to be heard.
You do not need to know exactly what you need.
Start with what you notice.
