In Sanskrit, the term “Shakti” signifies “power” or “energy” and is deeply rooted in Hindu philosophy. It refers to the divine feminine energy believed to be the creative force that underpins the universe. Representing dynamic qualities like creation, movement, and transformation, Shakti is often viewed as the vital force that drives life and change.
Within Hindu mythology, Shakti is personified as a goddess and is closely associated with Parvati, Durga, Kali, and other forms of the feminine divine. Each of these goddesses symbolizes unique aspects of Shakti, such as nurturing, protection, eliminating negativity, and renewal.
